I've read your Tweets and posts about your boys and I know how proud you are of them and I know that God has had His hand in your lives. Continue to walk in faith.

Daenel thank you so much for your testimony!
You were blessed with a praying mother. She knew the power of our ultimate Healer and ignored the Doctors, as she rightly should have since prayer is more powerful thn others realize, He backs that up in His word and I am so glad she stood on that.
Just like you, God has done some amazing works in my life, saving me more times that I can name. If not for Him, I don't know where my boys and I would be. So when people ask as they often do, how do I do it? I always have to reply its because of HIM.
Shine on Sister! xo

Wow, Madi! That is an amazing story. I am so glad that you are still with us. I think sometimes God uses the unusual to capture our attention because He knows us and He knows how best to reach us. Thank God for allowing you to see your worth through the words of Ronald Reagan.

Daenel, this was a beautiful and inspiring post. I do believe He used that monkey to save you. I believe He can be very creative in the tools he uses to create miracles. My miracle came in the form of Ronald Reagan. I was an abused child and by the age of ten had decided to commit suicide. As I was crushing up the pills I had stolen from my mother's medicine cabinet I turned on the TV. Ronald Reagan was giving a speech. In it he spoke about the greatness of the American people. I stopped for a second. I listened carefully. By the end of his speech I was convinced that I too was special and could go on another day. A week later the courts removed me and sent me to my Grandparents who raised me. Had I not listened to that speech I would not be here today. Divine intervention?

Jessica Anne, thank you for coming by. People always laugh about my love for monkeys and, I admit that it's very silly, but I feel like my miracle was manifested through my love of a stuffed animal. If He can use a burning bush, why can't He use a monkey? :-)

I am truly blessed. I'm eternally grateful for the power of prayer and believe that all things work for the good, even when we don't understand the purpose.

Wow. You must feel so blessed on so many levels! What an incredible and lovely story. Thank you SO much, Daenel, for promoting this post on Better Your Blog. Funny that I should read this post after watching a great PBS documentary on the Shakers. They have incredible faith as well!
