Weigh~In Wednesday

Wow, I cannot believe I haven’t written a Weigh~In Wednesday post since 21 April.  What’s even sadder is that I weigh about the same thing.  At least I’m consistent, right?  Nor have I gained, so that’s even better.  I haz a Weigh~In Wednesday happy!

Two days ago I downloaded the My Fitness Pal (MFP) app to my Droid and lemme tell ya, there is nothing like seeing how many calories you scarf down right there on your phone.  After I set up my profile, MFP guestimated how much weight I should lose per week in order to meet my weight loss goals and it set up a daily calorie intake calculator.  This helps me out a lot.  Because I know I’m only allotted 1200 calories a day, I’m much more selective about what I choose to eat.  No more donuts and coffee for breakfast, I’d rather save those empty calories for a healthy snack or a filling dinner.  MFP also tracks my water intake as well as my daily exercise.

Yesterday, the kids and I went for a walk along the Back Mountain Trail.  We didn’t do it so much for exercise as we did just for the chance to hang out, but we did walk a little over 2 miles.  In fact, the kids were up, dressed and ready to go before I was (nice ’cause I’m usually waiting on them).

I’m not sure what’s on tap for today but I will get my exercise in and I will be tracking those calories, because I like it when the numbers on the scale stay the same but I love it when the numbers on the scale go down.

Today’s Weight:  158.6 lbs

I’ve been fighting the scale for 15 years. The scale is winning. As long as you can maintain – you are winning.
btw, Wednesday is/was my weigh in day too.

Thank you, Mona. I’ve been fighting the scale for years too. I’ve finally just decided that I need to get a handle on this. And since I’m still in the maintenance zone, I’ve decided to get to it now.

I would say that maintening your weight would be a great place to start! I wish I had a droid phone to download the MFP app! That would be nice!

Jamee, you can use MFP online too. It’s probably one of the better fitness apps that I’ve tried. Thank you for visiting my blog.
