Monday Mingle: Pictures, Family and Other Memories

Monday MingleMonday Mingle is hosted by Eighty MPH Mom. If you’d like to participate, simply create a short vlog in which you answer the questions and then hit up the linky. Don’t forget to grab the badge and leave some comment love for your fellow participants. Afterall, isn’t that what mingling is all about?

Today’s questions are:

1. Describe (or show) your favorite picture of someone in your family. Why does this one mean so much to you?
2. If you could live in any home on a television series, which would it be?
3. Where were you on September 11, 2001?

Shontel, Dad, Jacquie, Daenel

Next week’s questions are:

1.  Name an activity you do with your significant other (or kids), just because it makes them happy
2. What is something you (or your spouse) used to do that you really miss now?
3. What qualities/features do you have from each of your parents?

I’m a little teary eyed here lol. What a beautiful family photo – and it is obvious how very special it is to you. ((hugs)). I’m glad you were able to save it.

I will never forget 9-11 – it was such a horrible, horrible day. I wanted to gather my family too :(

Thank you for mingling – it’s always a pleasure to see you!

Thank you, Jennifer. Yep, I love that picture of all of my kids. And the one of my dad. They are my heart.

That day was so awful. My heart breaks every time I think about it.

It hurt so much that I was not able to get my son from school. I found out later that even if I could have gotten there, the school was in lock down. I really wanted my family together that day.

Linda, a lot of schools went on lock down that day. I think I arrived before the schools had a chance to really react. I just needed my kids, it was so scary.

You look so young to have 15 year old twins and an older daughter who lives in a different state already – holy cow! My son is 15 also, but I look my age LOL.

Great family photos – both of them!

I love that you went and got your daughter from school and wanted everyone to be together. My son was here with me and I kept talking to my hubby on the phone wishing he would come home from work that morning.

Thank you, Robyn! :-) You don’t look your age. I always tell people that it’s photoshop and Feria. :-)

September 11 was the most awful day. I hope we never have to go through anything like that again.

I wish I could show it, but I don’t have it in a digital file. The photo is of my father, probably about 25 years ago. He was at the farm that he worked on with my grandfather…he’s leaning over a wheelbarrow, with his classic smile on his face. He just looks so relaxed and at easy…It’s classic him!

Can it be an apartment? I’d live in Rachel and Monica’s apartment on Friends! I love that pillar between the living room/kitchen on the first few seasons

Leslie, That sounds like a wonderful picture. I love looking at old pictures of my dad.

Good choice, I totally forgot about Monica and Rachel’s apartment ~ that was a fabulous place. Loved the colors and the funky decor.
