A Picture of Me 10 Years Ago

I had just finished cooking my first Thanksgiving meal and I was so proud of myself…

What were you doing 10 years ago?

Yikes 10 yrs ago we were at my sister-in-law’s in IL. We always had huge gatherings down there! Was a blast!

Oh, man, I would love to have a big family gathering. How much fun is that? Everyone gathered around and eating, fussing, laughing, etc.

Dinner looks lovely! But where are the pumpkin pies? I actually didn’t attempt a pumpkin pie until about 3 years ago. I was actually impressed. Ten years ago, we were in the process of buying our first house, and going through amazingly frustrating time! I know we didn’t spend Thanksgiving there, but we finished just in time for Christmas. Wish I took as many pictures 10 years ago as I do now.

Thanks, Ains. My mother-in-law made the pies that year (we were taking a chance letting me cook). :-) I remember that home buying process, I can’t imagine doing it in my 20s, fist bump to you and the man ~ y’all were being grown~ups while the rest of us were still being silly kids.
