Facebook App Lets Commenters Easily Share Posts
Have you noticed the nifty little Facebook comment space located just above the comments section of my blog? It’s a nifty little app that I created on Facebook and it allows people to comment and share your post on their Facebook page in one swoop. This is a great way to get new readers!
WordPress users, the directions are very easy to follow:
- Go to Install Plugins from your WordPress Dashboard
- Search for “Facebook Comments for WordPress” and you’ll find step~by~step directions
However, before you get started, you’ll want to create the following:
- Privacy Policy (here’s mine)
- User Agreement Policy
- Avatar for your app (I just used a smaller version of my blog badge)
Once you’re finished, activate the plugin and you’ll end up with a box that looks something like this:
To see picture details, just click them
If the commenter is logged into their Facebook account while they’re visiting your blog, they’ll have the option of commenting under their Facebook name (you do not have access to their Facebook information, although you will have the ability to send them a message through Facebook).
The comment will then post to your blog and look something like this:
The link to your post will then appear on their Facebook profile page and look like this:
Do you think you’ll be adding this app to your blog? What do you think will be some of the benefits? Drawbacks?
