Monday Mingle: Missing Camera, No Flowers and No American Idol

What’s up with that butt ugly freeze frame? Yikes!

Monday MingleTo see another shot of my new hair, click here…. My hair was done by Cheryl from Cheryl’s Touch in Dallas, PA. If you’re ever in the area, she can hook you up. She also gave me new brows and yanked out waxed my girlstache. WhatYou know you have one too!

Monday Mingle is hosted by Jenn at Eighty MPH Mom. If you’d like to participate, simply create a short vlog in which you answer the questions and then hit up the linky. Don’t forget to grab the badge and leave some comment love for your fellow participants. After all, isn’t that what mingling is all about?

This week’s questions are:
1. Do you have Spring flowers (or any flowers) blooming in your yard right now? Show us!
2. Are you watching American Idol this season? What do you think about the new judges?
3. Tell us something that happened to you last week!

Next week’s questions are:
1. Where do you think you’ll be/what you’ll be doing in 10 years?
2. You are ordering a hamburger at a restaurant (or veggie burger – how do you have it cooked, what type of cheese and what else goes on it?
3. What are the current gas prices like where you live?

Hey, lady, hope your move is going smoothly.

Can’t watch your video at work, so hope I don’t repeat anything that you said. *lol*

I haven’t watched Idol in a few years. I just can’t get past feeling like it’s not fair. The best singers never make it far enough. IMO it has turned into a popularity contest.

    My yard? Umm…….yeah. ‘Nuff said.

Last week I got a well deserved, very late in coming promotion. Salty much? Why yes, just a little bit. I didn’t turn it down of course. *lol*

Congrats on the promotion! And, yeah, I’d be salty too especially after having to put up with Bambi. LOL

I think what ruined AI for me was finding out that some of the contestants are related to already famous people (Justin Guarini, I’m looking at you). I thought the show was supposed to be for truly unconnected people, you know, to give them a chance. And, yes, when William Hung can put out a CD, it has gone too far and become all about popularity with a smidge of crazy.

Your yard and my yard, girl. I can’t take this too much longer.

    Hello lovely! Your hair looks fantastic {and I’m chuckling @ the girlstache comment – I do that at home! LOL}
    Snow galore, goodness.
Agree with AI – just a matter of time. And yes! So annoyed they’re remaking The Bodyguard. Grr..
Hair did. LOL I say that! :D
    Have a good week!

Thank you, Erin. Girl, this lady who was doing my eyebrows once was like “hey, do you wanna do something about that?” and pointed at my upper lip. I was alternately embarrassed, stunned and giggly. LOL Ever since I’ve been sure to keep the old soup strainer maintained.

Snow, we just had some snow, it’s a little early for anyone to have too many spring flowers. Oh more snow, I hope it stops soon!

I’m not watching American Idol either. You’re not alone on your feelings of American Idol!

Every year I threaten to leave the hubs and the kids and move with my dog some place warm. LOL I really cannot take too much more of this.

So glad I’m not the only one ready for that show to end.

I have snow too. I am sooo ready for spring! Have a great week!

Kat, I’m so ready for spring too. Winter is highly overrated.

I’ve never actually watched a full episode of American Idol. There’s just something about the idea of professionals crushing the dreams of those aspiring people that doesn’t do it for me.

I’m not sure where you are……because that snow looks foul, but I live in a suburb of Charleston, South Carolina and it was 80 degrees out today.

Some of my neighbors have spring flowers, but I don’t have any. Next week I am actually completing the sale of my house, so part of me really doesn’t care if there are flowers out there or not. Last year I did have a ton of flowers, but hey……..right now it’s just not on my list of priorities.

Last week this woman that I work with flashed me………..I really wasn’t expecting her to do that either. To be honest, she looked pretty foul, she could have kept that sight to herself.

I find the whole concept of embarrassing people on television deplorable. Of course, I have to wonder about the people who subject themselves to that sort of treatment ~ is the idea of instant fame really worth the humiliation? Or maybe I’m reading too much into it and missing all the fun.

Congrats on the house sale. In this market, it’s got to be tough. Are you leaving South Carolina? I visited there a couple of times ~ beautiful. I live in the mountains of Pennsylvania and I’m so flippin’ tired of snow. After the first night it ceases to be pretty and just looks like giant dirt mounds covered in spit, grass and other droppings. Just nasty.

      *dead*

Eventually I will leave South Carolina for good, but right now I’ve gotten an apartment. I will probably move on towards the end of this year or the beginning of the next.

Now I do remember spending an eventful weekend in the Poconos once at one of the Caesars Resorts….that was rather nice.

Do you have an idea of where you’ll move? I’ve lived here for 13 years now and haven’t been to the Poconos. Everyone says it’s lovely there but I have no real desire to visit.

          • http://reggiesblogspotrantings.blogspot.com/ Reggie

Going to that resort in the Poconos was like going to a Broadway show to me, I was surprised that I enjoyed both. It was decadent and cheesy all at once, but I had a good time.

I’m thinking that I’ll either move west, to Atlanta, or south, to Florida. Haven’t made up my mind yet. I guess I’ll have to make a decision soon……..maybe.
