Thank you, girl. It's been hard ~ no internet and bad cell reception for over a week. Yikes!

A GPS helped me a lot when I moved from Cincinnati to Tampa Bay. They can show you what's in reasonable range, then you can look them up to see the particulars. While in a city center, another thing that works are those free papers that show you what's in town; they not only give you information on things you'd be interested in but can often convey the vibe so you'll know if you like it. Take care, and all good things to you and your family!

LOL I know it's hard to think 14 years ahead (I still don't feel like I should be there yet) but it happens so fast. Too fast. I think we're ready for this move though, the kids are older and we were ready for a change but it's still a little startling.

You can do it! It is hard living away from family. I have been doing it for about 10 years now. Everyday I do still pray for an opportunity to move back closer to family and friends....however life does go on and you will survive. Oh and as far as the child going to college, I don't have any advice my son is 4 and I can't think that far ahead.
Best wishes to you and your family.
