Oh, yeah, I remember when you guys were redecorating. That's what I'm looking forward to most about moving, reworking the living areas.

Oh, how very cool. My dad used to paint and draw but he'd toss or burn everything when he was finished ~ oddest thing. Now that I'm older and he's gone, I wish that I'd saved something ~ even a napkin doodle.

Very gutsy. I've painted our boys' rooms (they picked the colors) but I haven't gotten to the livingroom yet... I'm not that gutsy.

We have granite counter tops, not a granite I would have chosen. But for a while we had a terra cotta colored kitchen. Our living room, dining room, eating area, kitchen are pretty much all one room, and now it's a golden tan. It's good.

Nice! I think you and I would get along just fine when it comes to decorating. I have an oil painting in my kitchen. It's a very simplistic pastoral scene of Pit Hole in 1934 ( a real place in NW Pennsylvania). It's not really all that good, but my great-great uncle painted it and I've always liked the bright colors and the way it takes on different "moods" in different light.
