Wordless Wednesday: Fly on a Hosta Flower

Fly on a Hosta Flower

I took this picture in my front yard.  I can’t believe I was able to get such a clear shot of the fly without disturbing him.

The picture is beautiful. It’s so vivid and crisp. It’s hard to believe a fly could look that good!

That’s cool. It’s always extra impressive to me when people get great shots of wildlife like that, no matter what it is :)

    Happy Wednesday! :)

Thank you.  I was surprised at how clear it came out and that he didn’t fly away.

What distance away were you?  New camera?

    • http://livingoutsidethestacks.com DaenelT

It was the new camera.  I was about 2 feet away and I used the zoom.  It really is a fabulous camera.  Love it.

Cool pic! Around here you’d be more likely to catch one of a mosquito.;)

    • http://livingoutsidethestacks.com DaenelT

You know, I really haven’t seen any mosquitoes yet.  Of course, now I’ll be swarmed by them tomorrow.

That is a very cool photo. I haven’t seen a fly like that for a long time. We have nasty deer flies.

    • http://livingoutsidethestacks.com DaenelT

Eep!  Those deer flies hurt when they land on you.  It’s like they have teeth or something.

  • Mrs. Cox

Love it! Especially the iridescent green against the white of the flower. :)

Thank you.  I’m so totally loving my new camera.
