Hi Lauren, I’ve found that since moving to the south I wear much less makeup than I used to (it’s too hot to do otherwise). LOL But it really is a great initiative.

I agree with you on the dancing part of Toddlers & Tiaras too – I don’t get why they have them doing “sexy” moves – it’s very odd!

I love your birthday gifts. I wish kids could go back to being that sweet and innocent but I fear they’re too far gone now…

Girl, you need to have a day off on your birthday. Send the kids to a friend’s and go get your nails done. You have more than earned it. In fact, I think that should be your birthday post for next year. :-)

I know, that show drives me insane. I hate what the parents do to their kids. It seems like it would count as mental cruelty.

I watch the Duggars while on the treadmill, and today they had a Toddlers and Tiaras commercial in which a girl’s parents stuffed her dance leotard with little fake boobies, I actually gasped from shock.

For my 16th birthday I had a few friends over and I received a stuffed Charlie Brown doll and a Kermit doll. So much more age appropriate than what goes on today! I still was sweet. Nowadays, they should call some Sultry 16 parties…
