Monday Mingle: Deserted Islands, Snack Foods and Talking Toilets

Monday MingleMonday Mingle is hosted by Jenn at Eighty MPH Mom. If you’d like to participate, simply create a short vlog in which you answer the questions and then hit up the linky. Don’t forget to grab the badge and leave some comment love for your fellow participants. After all, isn’t that what mingling is all about?

This week’s questions are:

1. If you were stranded on a deserted island, but you could choose one famous person to be there with you, who would it be?

There’s a song that our church used to sing when I was a kid that goes: “Long as I got King Jesus, I don’t need nobody else…” I think that just about sums up my answer to that question. If you’ve never heard that song, click here to see the video by Vicki Winans….

2. What is your favorite snack food?

My favorite snack food, hands down, is trail mix. Seriously, I could live off that stuff (as long as they start adding bits of steak and shrimp to the mix). I always keep a bag of trail mix in my car, you never know when you’re gonna get stuck in traffic or in the woods. Don’t laugh, this lady totally survived for 49 days off snow and trail mix when she and her hubs got lost in the wilderness. My kids think I’m insane but I’ll tell you this much, we ever get stuck somewhere, I’m not sharing.

3. Fill in the blank: “________ is my least favorite household chore.”

Scrubbing toilets is my least favorite chore. Sometimes when I pour bleach into the tank, I imagine the little germs screaming “Noooo!” It’s the little things that keep me going. I also hate grocery shopping. I don’t mind putting the food away, I absolutely love cooking, but shopping for groceries? So not fun. To reward myself, I usually grab a container of grocery store sushi and eat it in the parking lot (keepin’ it classy, y’all).

Next week’s questions are:

1. What did you and your family do for Thanksgiving?

2. What is your favorite way to use Thanksgiving leftovers.

3. Fill in the blank: “I really wish hadn’t eaten so much ________ on Thanksgiving.”

NaBloPoMo Update

National Blog Posting MonthDue to technical difficulties, I was unable to post on Saturday, therefore I’m withdrawing from National Blog Posting Month. It’s been fun and challenging ~ I went further this time than I ever did before, so I consider this a success, even if I didn’t complete the entire month.

For those of you who are still in the challenge, good luck!

LOL you crack me up on the toilet germs.  And YES, I hate that chore too!

Trail mix!  My dad loved that stuff…and you just might have convinced me to always have some on me wherever I go.

    Thanks for mingling!

LOL! You’re so innovative with your mingling ideas :)
I’m so glad your move and settling has gone well! Maybe we need to move… seriously.
Ooh trail mix. What do you like in yours?? GORP can save your life! Oh my gosh.
Cleaning toilets would be my second least favorite, but at least it’s flushed – cat boxes you gotta scoop, etc. That’s why it’s number one :)
Sorry to make rounds so late in the week! Hope you had a good one!

I know, right? Trail mix costs a fortune.

Thanks ~ I’m trying to move away from always wearing black but I can’t help it, I’m back to it already. LOL

I haven’t cleaned a toilet since I married in 2007.  Boy are they dirty.  Just kidding, Mr. Clean attacks them every week.  (That would be bald, very white, blue eyed Brad.)

      LOL at Mr.Clean!
