Today I’m Whining {This or That Thursday}

Leaves {Living Outside the Stacks}

The above picture is from my 365 Project. This week’s theme is monochrome and I thought this perfectly captured my mood for the day week. You can see my other pictures by clicking here.

This has been the longest week ever. I’ve been sick with the flu. Not fun at all. Today I was supposed to begin my monthly self portraits in anticipation of my 40th birthday on 10 March but the last thing I want is a picture of me with tissue smooshed up to my nose. Yes, I’m whining. And you know why? Because women so rarely get the chance to do it.

We get sick and we suck it up. Wake the kids and get them dressed. cough cough sneeze Make sure the hubs has his work stuff and is ready to go. sneeze sneeze cough Clean the house, feed the dog, start the laundry drip sniffle cough

My stomach and my head hurt from coughing so much. I’m alternating between freezing and burning up. I want this nastiness to end. Now.

OK, I’m finished whining. Thank you for indulging me and, please, ladies, stay healthy.

I’m linking up with Deb for This or That Thursday.

    I’m sorry you are still feeling so rotten. (That’s what happens when you work with the public. I remember well.) I can’t do much for you from here, but how ’bout a prayer? “Father, You know the work You’ve given Daenel to do, and the strength she needs to do that work. Give her Your strength, restore her to health, and keep improving her health over the remainder of the school year. We thank You, we praise You, and we believe that we receive Your blessings when we ask in faith. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.”

      Holly, you don’t know how much I appreciate your prayer. Thank you so much for your prayer of strength and health over me. Big hugs!

    I hope you feel better soon!! I’ve been battling a “crud” that is not making me feel bad enough to feel sick (and not work) but bad enough to feel rotten and just WANT to not do anything. You are right, we moms rarely get the luxury of true “sick days”
    I hope you listen to your body and rest and that you feel better soon.

      This thing is brutal! I kid you not, I have never had anything like this before. Trust me, I’m resting and taking it easy.
