What I Wore {In the Closet}

Hey, everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far. I know I am. Nothing particularly great is happening, I’m just happy to be able to see another day. Throwing my hands up and praising God! Good health and a fabulous hair day, what more could a girl ask for?

A few weeks ago, one of my coworkers said “You have just got to stop coming to work looking so cute!” I started laughing and said “But I’m a blogger.” Because that’s the answer to everything. But it’s true, when you know you’re going to post pics of yourself, you step up your game. That’s not to say I don’t have days when I wanna take it down a notch but dressing nice does make me feel better.

It also makes me feel pretty confident. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a tucker but I wanted my outfit to resemble this one that I found on Pinterest, so in the shirt went. And you know what? No one pointed at me and laughed. No one said “Girl, you know that gut is too big to be wearing that.”

And even if someone had said something, I wouldn’t have cared. Well, maybe just a little bit. But I was having a good day and my confidence was on full display.

What makes you feel confident?

    If we worked together, I would never feel like I could have a “dull day”. Maybe that’s a good thing. Or maybe I’d be exhausted from stepping up my game every day.

    I’m a “keep it simple, stupid” kind of dresser. I might feel under-accessorized in your presence. ;-)
    I have saved a photo of you in, what I think, is a particularly cute outfit. So, I might not actually aspire to be you, but you do inspire me.

      LOL it’s funny, I’ve always wanted to work in a casual environment and now that I do, I dress up. Not all the time but most of the time. I think suits would make me cranky though.

      Simple really is a good way to go, then you just add one fun piece and go.

      And thank you, you made my day. :-)

    Cute outfit. Good hair days are days you need to go out and buy a lottery ticket : )

    Totally fabulous hair day! Don’t you love it when that happens? It doesn’t happen often enough for me…lol. Mostly because I’m lazy. And you’ve inspired me to try layering — something I don’t do nearly enough. Doing that more would really let me stretch my wardrobe into winter.

      Jennae, I’m trying to stretch it and learn to mix and match. There are still things that leave me scratching my head, like what I do I wear with the Dalmatian print blouse I bought on a whim?
