I’m going to let you in on a little secret, I absolutely positively adore Nicole Richie. I think she exudes class and grace, whether she’s wearing a retro inspired maxi dress, grungy jeans and a white tee, or a formal gown with an elegant updo; I just want to play in her closet. You know, if I lost about a 100 lbs and shrunk about 4 inches. Anyway, I remember watching her briefly on “A Simple Life” and thinking, Wow, she’s such a beautiful girl, I hope she outgrows this crazy. She did and I’m soooo happy.
Anyway, when I found out that Nicole was designing her own line of clothes and accessories, I got all kinds of excited. Until I saw the prices. Then I started looking at my kids trying to figure out which one had an exploitable talent. That did not pan out. So I waited and hoped something would go on sale. It did not.
But then there was an announcement that Nicole Richie would be taking her line to QVC. squee with a side of Dougie So I started
stalking perusing the collection, waiting for a decent sale or at least an Easy Pay. It finally happened and I bought this tunic.
During the demo, they styled the tunic with skinny jeans and flats and skinny jeans with boots; both of which were cute looks but not really me. Actually, I’ll probably do the skinny jeans and boots look in the fall with my faux fur vest but not now.
Anyway, I wore this to work yesterday and received so many compliments. I decided to pair the tunic with bell bottom jeans and black suede wedges. It totally fits my retro vibe, no?
I’d like to thank my photographer, Miss 17, who refused to give me my camera until I smiled in one picture.
