Happy Thursday! I hope y’all have had a great week so far. It’s nice to be on the downward slope, right? My week was nice. I got to watch But Have You Read the Book? and, y’all, I am really excited for where this will lead. I plan to write a review of the show either Friday or Saturday, so make sure you come back.

THE THEME
This month’s theme, “Styling Ankle Booties,” was selected by Bojana.
MY OUTFIT
I remember when I saw this dress in Target, I put it in my cart and put it back about half a dozen times. I adore white dresses, but I’m one of the clumsiest people you’d ever want to meet and all I kept seeing was coffee splatters on my pretty white dress. So it hung in my closet for a whole year. Yes, I’m one of those people…
Then I started cleaning out my closet, you know, getting rid of stuff I either hadn’t worn or didn’t plan to wear again and I saw this dress. It’s so pretty and feminine, I had to keep it.
Initially, I’d planned to wear the dress with a sunflower colored cardigan, but after looking in the mirror a couple of times, I decided to go with a more substantial topper piece. This denim jacket has seen a lot of wear over the last couple of weeks. Other than a blazer, I think this is the second best way to “Boss Babe” and outfit. And this is coming from someone who has a trunk full of cardigans.
Confession: I love the look of ankle boots and dresses on people, but I always question it on myself. I think it’s because I went through this phase where all I wore were boots and dresses/skirts, so my mind hasn’t quite adjusted to that much leg showing. But seeing the look in pictures, I really do like it, so I’m happy that we this was our challenge.
WHERE WORE IT
I wore this outfit to work. I knew I’d be doing mostly desk work, so I figured I’d be safe from any spills or such. And the wedges are pretty comfortable, so if I did need to do any walking, there’d be no issues.
