All Coffee Mugs Should Wear Tutus and You Should Wear Stripes {In the Closet}

Tell me the truth, isn’t that coffee mug quite possibly one of the cutest things you’ve ever seen? When I first saw her at Starbucks, my coffee lovin’ heart was all I die! Between the tutu, the stripes, and the bow tie, I was done. Seriously, look at her. How could I not bring her home with me?

I remember reading an article once where a designer said something along the lines of stripes should be a part of every outfit. A few years ago I would’ve disagreed based solely on the argument that stripes make me look wide. Now, I see them as a fun addition to my closet. And I’m so over the fat talk. Paired with solids, stripes add interest to an outfit. And up against another pattern such as florals, stripes scream whimsy.

  • You always look great, Daenel. And yes, so over the fat talk. We all need to just stop it! You are such a master at pattern mixing. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I’m gonna see if our Starbucks has that mug. Too cute!

    • Thank you, Paulette. It’s taken me 40 years but I’m learning this is my body, I need to love it.

      Our Thanksgiving was fun. My kids made me laugh and cry… Hope yours was wonderful as well.

      And, yes, to the mug!

    Great look! What a wonderful scarf to top it off. That mug is also fun too…I saw another bloggy friend feature it this week too.

    Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!! I have missed you!

    • Shon!!! You’re back!

      Thank you, that scarf is one of my favorite creations. You can’t tell but it’s gold with strips of gold thread.

      Hope your thanksgiving was a beautiful one.
