When I separated from the Army, I swore I’d never wear camo again. Well, you know what they say about never saying never. I loooove camo. I’ve had these camo pants in my closet forever but I never wore them because something in my head {old habit, perhaps} kept wanting me to pair them with combat boots. Well, as much as I love boots, I just can’t go all Army anymore. So I’m dipping my toe into the feminization of camo…
To stay in my comfort zone, I decided to pair my camo pants with a black tee and a pair of ankle wrap ballet flats. The tee is from Laurie Felt {I’ve worn her other designs here. They’re super cute, y’all.} . This tee is the softest and most lightweight tee ever. It’s a bamboo blend and feels like a dream. I’ll definitely be adding more colors to my closet. I will note that I’m wearing a large, but I could’ve easily sized down to a medium.
I absolutely adore these ankle wrap flats and literally wear them with everything. I honestly hadn’t thought to wear them with my camo pants until that morning when I was getting dressed. With the pants unrolled, it looked a little awkward, but with a simple turn? Hello. These are going to be my go-to shoes with these pants all summer. Well, these and a pair of beaded thong sandals that I have.
