Totally excited to share photos from our first camping trip…
So, if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that The Hubs and I have been looking for a trailer/camper/RV for a couple of years now and we finally found one. This past weekend we took it out for a trial run. We went for an overnight trip to Lake Blackshear , a local resort and golf club. We chose this spot because we wanted to stay close to home while getting the overnight camping experience. We’re new at this!
The resort/camp grounds are located in the middle of Georgia Veterans Memorial Park in Cordele, Georgia. A beautiful place, if you get the chance to visit.
Here are a few photos of The Hubs setting up the trailer:
The Hubs did the hard work of setting everything up, while I was responsible for making sure that everything was level.
Here’s the campground:
We were at the entry to the 3rd campground; I thought it’d be loud but it was actually pretty quiet. We were surrounded by trees and quite a few other campers {some slept in tents, others in RVs, and some had trailers like ours}. Everyone was incredibly helpful and full of advice for us, which we definitely appreciated. Especially when it came time to empty the sewage {I won’t share photos of that, but let’s just say lots of rubber gloves, hand sanitizer, and Lysol were involved}.
Enjoying the fruits of The Hubs labor:
We’ve decided that calories don’t count when you’re on vacation…
The Hubs is the master of relaxation…
It was beyond peaceful out there.
