Coffee Talk {living outside the stacks}

I’d like to welcome you to Coffee Talk. If you’re new here, this is where I share some of the great and not~so~great stuff that I find on the web. Topics range from news stories that leave me scratchin’ my head to DIYs that I think are absolutely clever. And, who knows, there may even be a recipe thrown in here or there just for fun.

Did you watch “The World According to Jim” aka the Jim Comey hearing? I did. I was home sick and there was pretty much nothing else on TV. And I’m gonna say, my biggest takeaway from this entire thing is that no one in the government is to be trusted. I mean, I knew this before, but every last one of them has issues. If I had my way, I’d remove every last one of them from office and just grab random people off the street and stick them in office. I mean, it couldn’t possibly be any worse than what we have now.

The girls had me watch Get Out with them. That movie is straight crazy. It was like a race related version of The Stepford Wives but with a whole lot of Bruh, ummmmm, get out! I remember when the movie first came out, my friends on Twitter were going nuts. Now I see why. It’s definitely one of those movies that I’d add to my syllabus if I were still teaching. There are just so many deep discussions to be held. Have you seen it?

I loooooove dark nail colors. Like the darker and vampier, the better. Buuuut, it’s almost summer and I want to lighten things up a bit, so I’ve been trying to find colors that appeal to my vampy nature while looking a little more hot weather appropriate and I think I’ve found it. Wow, was that not the longest sentence ever? Anyway, have you seen Essie’s new line called Wild Nudes? Oh, my word, they’re beautiful. They’re dusky and muted but soft and warm all at the same time. I picked up mooning and exposed and have been wearing them on repeat.

Now, it’s your turn… What’s going on in your world? Anything have you scratching your head or belly laughing? Is there a book I absolutely must add to my TBR Shelf? Have you cooked or ordered anything tasty?

Cheers,

Daenel T {Living Outside the Stacks}
