Coffee Talk {living outside the stacks

I’d like to welcome you to Coffee Talk. If you’re new here, this is where I share some of the great and not~so~great stuff that I find on the web. Topics range from news stories that leave me scratchin’ my head to DIYs that I think are absolutely clever. And, who knows, there may even be a recipe thrown in here or there just for fun.

Hey, hey, hey! How ya doing? We are sooooo very busy. We’re two weeks away from our big move to Louisiana and I am so very excited. Honest to goodness, The Hubs and I are just ready to pack it up and go right now. We’ve found a house in Louisiana but, you know, things aren’t official until you have keys in hand, so I’m not sharing any details just yet. I haven’t found a job yet, but I have been applying. Pray for me that the right job comes along, you guys. I’m not even gonna lie and say I’m not picky. I am. I want to work where I can be creative and helpful and where I feel like my opinions and my skills are valued. Not outrageous, right?

So, anyway, just kinda wanted to give a little update on where things are in the move and now on to other stuff…

I’ve been on the hunt for a cute pair of athletic sandals that aren’t too athletic but kinda have a bohemian feel to them. Yeah, I know, that’s a lot. I finally found them at Target and they are so cute and comfortable. I purchased the black pair, but they also come in taupe, which you can see here. I haven’t styled them yet, but I have all sorts of ideas bumbling in my head. Aren’t they super cute?

My Keurig stopped working a couple of days ago and then I broke my traditional carafe – moment of silence, please. Anyway, I posted about my sad news on Twitter and Keurig reached out to me and, thanks to their amazing customer service, we were able to get my Keurig working again. Anyway, since I couldn’t have coffee, I had to drink herbal tea. It was so good, too bad I can’t remember which flavor I tried. Do you drink tea? Even though my Keurig is now working, I’d love to add some tea into the rotation, so I’m open to suggestions.

Y’all know I’m totally in to home reno shows and I have a new favorite. It’s called Good Bones. It’s a mother and daughter team who renovates homes in their community. The practical side of me says that these renos are priced out of the neighborhood, but the romantic in me is all starry eyed. Seriously, check it out. And don’t forget to check out Home Town while you’re at it.

As always with these posts, I’m asking you — is there anything you’d like for me to write about? Anything you want me to research? Would  you be interested in seeing a vlog? Let me know what’s on your mind!

Now, it’s your turn… Anything have you scratching your head or belly laughing?

Cheers,

Daenel T {Living Outside the Stacks}
