Coffee Talk {living outside the stacks}

I’d like to welcome you to Coffee Talk. If you’re new here, this is where I share some of the great and not~so~great stuff that I find on the web. Topics range from news stories that leave me scratchin’ my head to DIYs that I think are absolutely clever. And, who knows, there may even be a recipe thrown in here or there just for fun.

Hi, how are you? All is well on my side, just waiting out the rest of this year. It’s been a rough year and I’m ready {kinda} for it to end. 2017 brings in the Trump presidency, so, really, if I could skip the next 4 years I’d be cool with that…

Anyway, I started thinking about what the biggest story of 2016 would have to be and I think, good, bad, or indifferent, it has to be the election of 2016. This election was nasty and it, given the results, it gave a voice to hate and anger. I also think Aleppo and the protests at Standing Rock were important stories.

I know this isn’t the last Monday of the year {that would be Christmas and I hope you’re spending that time with family and friends and not online reading blogs}, so I decided to do a little year in review today:
