Last week I shared an interesting grocery store encounter with my Facebook friends, so I decided to share it here because it was, well, weird. Although deep down inside I’m sure it was meant as a compliment…
Cashier #1: “When we go out tonight, I wanna wear what she’s wearing.” (looking at me)
Cashier #2: “You wanna go shopping?”
Cashier #1: “No, I want what she has on right now. Take her clothes…”
Me: “Uhhhh” I didn’t know what to do with that conversation so I backed away slowly
I didn’t think there was anything particularly theft worthy about my outfit. Just about everything was purchased either second hand or on clearance.
OUTFIT DEAL: TEES FROM WALMART ~ $5.99 each
In fact, the most expensive thing I’m wearing is that handbag. It’s by Sharif for HSN. I love most of his bags. They’re just this side of funky and you don’t see everyone carrying them.
Now I’ve had people compliment my outfits before but I’ve never had anyone want to take the clothes off my back. So that brings me to this, have you ever received a compliment that kinda freaked you out?
