Dream Blogging

So last night I had an incredible dream…

I wrote the most amazing blog post.  I know I’m not the only one who goes to bed thinking about what I should write…  Anyway, this post was one of those ones that had the bloggerazzi stalking me.  It was absolutely fabulous.  I vaguely remember meeting Meredith, Matt, Al and Ann and dancing with Ellen. But for the life of me I can’t remember what the flippin’ post was about.

Have you ever had that happen to you?  You go to sleep and you dream something wonderful…  You’re at an interview and you wow them with your skills…  You’re at a photo shoot and you’re working that camera like a super model…  Or you’re working the Reference Desk with Noah Wyle while Jeff Goldblum checks out books at the Circulation Desk.  Don’t judge me.  Then you wake up.

I don’t know what I’m supposed to do here.  Get a life comes to mind.  Should I keep Vivi (my computer) by my bed?  You know, just in case?  Deal with that Noah Wyle/Jeff Goldblum issue?  Should I go old school and put a pen and pad on the night stand?  What do you do to retain blog ideas?

  • Yes ma’am, I sure do keep a small notebook next to the bed where I write all kinds of things, including blog ideas. If I don’t write it down as soon as possible, it’s likely to disappear and not return.

    • Yep, I think that’s what I’m gonna have to do. I don’t like this getting old thing. 🙂

Your library fantasy is cracking me up! Oh my gosh, so funny 🙂

As for remembering blog posts, I usually only have a rough idea of what I’m going to talk about when I sit down to write and then I imagine what I would say if I was talking to you…’cause I’m crazy like that and that is HOW I ACTUALLY TALK IN REAL LIFE! I’m super lucky though that I can always fall back on the “theme” of my blog when I come up empty on ideas.

So glad you got a laugh from my most recent post. I enjoyed writing it!

    • Libraries are ripe for fantasies, horror flicks and comedies. LOL

I used to write like that too and somewhere along the lines I seem to have lost my mojo. I love the way you write ’cause I can imagine sitting with coffee and having a conversation (does that make sense?). Anyway, keep up the good work ’cause you have me rolling.
