Empty Nester Life

Lake Blackshear {living outside the stacks}

Taken during one of our RV trips to Lake Blackshear, GA

The Hubs and I have been empty nesters for a few years now, but we hit peak empty nesterhood in June 2018. The Hubs, Squeekerz, and I packed up our house and moved to Louisiana so we can be closer to our grandchildren. Prior to our move, The Hubs and I bought a 32 foot RV and took up camping. People said if we took it out 4 times during one camping season it will have earned its price. We went out about 19 times in one season. To say we love it, would be an understatement. You can read all about our adventures here and see our photos here.

Anyway, now that we’ve moved to Louisiana, The Hubs and I have purchased what we hope to be our retirement home and are planning to settle into a quiet life of — ahhhh, who am I kidding? We’ve purchased our retirement home with the intention of using it as our home base, while we continue to travel in our RV and explore the next stage of our life.
