Hi, how are y’all doing? We’re OK. We spent most of the weekend just hanging out around the house. I rearranged the furniture in my office and The Hubs hung some shelving up for me. I hope to get some of my pictures printed soon, I want to sit them on the shelf along with a few of my vintage cameras. I’ll post pictures once everything is completed.
ABOUT THE FAB FORTIES
The Fab Forties is a group of five style bloggers from around the globe who come together once a month to share their common love of fashion. Each month we choose a different theme and invite a guest blogger, who is also in her forties, to join us. The group’s goal is to take on a style trend and show how we each interpret and incorporate it into our lives. The Theme
I chose the theme for this month: SHOES! I’ve been a shoe girl since forever. In fact, I used to host a weekly linkup called Shoe Style Saturday. I stopped a long time ago, but have thought about bringing it back. I mean, the shoe love is deep, y’all. What do you think? Would you like to play along?
I also want to give a big welcome to our newest cohost, Dee from Dee Sayz. I love love love her style and am incredibly happy that she has decided to join us.
My Outfit
So I wore this outfit to run errands with my daughter on Saturday. We went to Hobby Lobby to look for the shelves that I mentioned above and then we went to Sonic because milkshakes and slushies.
Anyway, I usually wear these step hem jeans with my Birkenstocks or another pair of flat sandals, but I decided to step things up a bit and pair them with a heeled sandal. I really think I like these jeans better with a heel. It makes them a little dressier, don’t you think? And, honestly, these Miz Mooz sandals are so much fun. They’re quirky and just a little bit sexy – I mean, look at that corseting on the back.
Sexy, right? I also have a pair of boots by Miz Mooz that have the same corset back. You can see them here. Those boots are my go-to during the cooler months.
Also I’m a sucker for an ankle strap.

Look at these platform wedges that Dee is wearing. Are they not the coolest? I think they’re fab with this skirt, but I can see them with a pair of flare leg jeans as well. And that purse? Cuuuuuute!!!!

If you know anything about Jennie, then you know she has the most fabulous shoe wardrobe ever! I mean, look at those fabulous flats. Aren’t they just fun? And with that leopard print bag? All the yeses!

Sheelah’s shoe game is always on point. I mean LOOK. AT. THOSE. KILLER. HEELS. Those booties are sexy and boss at the same time!
Shelbee {Shelbee on the Edge}
Shelbee is totally speaking to my hippie girl vibe here. I love love love clogs. And when paired with tights? My heart just sings. I absolutely love this look and will be imitating it as soon as it’s cool enough outside.
Suzy {Pixie Chick in Portugal}
Suzy’s platform sandals are total boss babe. I love the heel, the striping, the nude color. Wait, I just love everything about them. They’re fierce!
