Friday Favorites {living outside the stacks}

Happy Friday, y’all. Did you have a good week? Mine was long… Our college went to New Orleans for a system conference; it was a lot of fun. I mean, it’s New Orleans, how can it be anything other than fun? My friend, Ree, took me to this place called Willa Jean for dessert and it was amazing. I had this ice cream, bourbon sauce, meringue dish {I wish I could remember the name} and, ohmyword, it was worth the walk and the getting lost {yeah, we got lost trying to find our way back to the hotel}. You can see pictures here.

But, most importantly, The Hubs is home! His dad was moved into a nursing home and will, hopefully, begin rehab next week. His mom is also doing much better. Thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement.

So, let’s get to it, here are a few of my favorite things from this week:

  1. I saw this blouse on Olive Ave and, honest to goodness, isn’t it the cutest? And it’s real embroidery {y’all know how I feel about that}. I love love love the color. I’d buy it, but they’re sold out of my size. Soooo, I need one of y’all to buy and share it so I can see it on someone I know.
  2. Have you heard this song by Kristene DiMarco? The Hubs has had it on repeat for the last two weeks {every time he called, I could either hear it in the background or he was talking about it}. Put it on and close your eyes. Trust me.
  3. Are you watching A Million Little Things? It’s such a good show. I discovered it while This Is Us was on hiatus and now it’s one of the three shows I watch regularly.
  4. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this is one of the oddest things that I’ve ever seen. I just think it all looks so uncomfortable.
  5. Do you eat salmon? Salmon is my favorite fish. Hands down. I cannot wait to try this salmon recipe. Doesn’t it look delicious?

Now it’s your turn, tell me one of your favorites from the week.
