Well, we made it to Friday. Barely. I’ve spent all week at home in bed with some sort of weird virus. So far, I’ve been shot up with steroids twice, put on antibiotics, and given an inhaler. I’m so over whatever this is…
Sweet Bleu has been the perfect nurse pup. She’s barely left my side since Monday morning. And the few times that she has wandered off, she’s come back and booped me on the forehead with her nose. At first, the books were funny and endearing. Now? It’s annoying. I just want to sleep, but I don’t want to discourage her love, so I let her boop away. LOL
1. Did you know that Walgreens carries Philosophy products? I didn’t know it either until I went to pick up my prescription and wandered over to the cosmetics section while waiting for my meds. I’ve wanted to try Philosophy forever, but for whatever reason, I never got around to it. Our Walgreens had 2 scents: Good Morning, Sunshine and I forget the name of the other one. I bought the Good Morning, Sunshine for $16. It smells like grapefruit. So very refreshing. As you know, I’m not much of a perfume girl, but I do love a citrusy body wash. It’s the perfect wake me up.
2. Do you remember the monthly Coffee and Pie Chat that I hosted with Chicken Librarian? Well, it has been on hiatus for a little bit because life. I really want to get back to it, because there was something so satisfyingly delicious about baking a pie, but I just haven’t been up to it. This yuckiness has been with me for over a week now and I just can’t seem to shake it. Anyway, Kristin baked a pie and, y’all, it looks road trip worthy. If you’re not up to baking a pie, you can always try my Orange Cranberry {Walnut} Bread.
3. A few weeks ago, Bettye from Fashion Schlub invited a group of us bloggers to share photos of where we live… This has been the most blogging fun I’ve had in a long time. Lately, most of my focus has been on style, which is nice, but I’ve enjoyed doing something different too.
