From Where I Stand #OurProject52 #VisitCape {Living Outside the Stacks}

Disclaimer: It’s really really really cold outside and I’m a total weather wuss, so these photos are in no way shape or form recent. In fact, I think most of them are from Spring/Summer 2014. My general rule for life is once I can see my breath I only go outside when it’s absolutely positively necessary.

Sky #OurProject52 #VisitCape {Living Outside the Stacks} (1)

When we first moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri I wasn’t sure what to expect. I just knew I wanted things to be different from the way they were in Pennsylvania. I wanted to get out and learn the community, meet some people, and take pictures. One of the first things that captured my attention was the sky. I kept telling The Hubs that the sky here just seems so much more expressive. The clouds are always swirling, the colors are always changing, there’s just something always going on…

Then I noticed the river. The Mississippi River, to be specific. This became the place where The Hubs and I would go to walk and talk, to solve problems, to just sit and be still.
