I absolutely positively love skirts. Especially maxi skirts. But denim maxi skirts have totally stolen my heart. They’re quite possibly one of the most versatile pieces of clothing, you can dress them up or down. They can be worn to church, to work, or to simply hang out with family and friends.

When I first purchased this skirt, I tried looking up different ways to wear it but all I kept seeing were black maxis, white tees, and denim shirts. Where oh where were the denim maxi skirts? I can’t possibly be the only one who likes them. Can I? I mean, if I am, it wouldn’t be the first time I was the only one who rocked a special look. “Boy” suspenders, anyone?

So I decided that I’d do my own little series because I know there are other ladies out there who love a denim maxi skirt. Notice how I keep saying that? I really don’t want to be the only one…

Denim maxi skirts are perfect for creating a boho chic look. Like jeans, denim maxis have a relaxed laid back feel to them. And when you pair them with a flowy  blouse, a ton of chunky jewelry, and 70’s inspired wedges like I did, the look is total flower child meets suburban mom. Quite a mix, no?

Next week I’ll show you how to take a denim maxi skirt to the office. Or, in my case, to the library.

Do you wear denim maxis? What would you add {or subtract} to make this look more boho?
