July in Pictures

July in Pictures {living outside the stacks}

July was such a wonderful month. Yes, it was hot. Yes, the political climate has been positively toxic. And, yes, my family experienced quite a few setbacks, but I’m giving all thanks to God because it could have been so much worse…

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to complete an entire month. I only had to dip into my archives once. Yay! I did notice that my photos have taken on a lighter airier tone this month. It’s nice to see the changes that have taken place over the last few months. I’m hoping that August will see more growth, creativity, and lightness.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the month of July:

31 July {my style}

Faith affirming and coffee fueled.

Not a bit. He’d sell us all out for Girl Scout cookies {shortbread}.

27 July {in my bag}

Because you never know when a coffee emergency may arise…

19 July {happiness}

19 July happiness {living outside the stacks}

Talking to my kid on the phone and being sad that she’s not my baby anymore but happy that she’s my friend.

6 July {accessory}

This rear view camera is quite possibly the best accessory that I never knew I wanted or needed. I’m sure the public thanks my truck manufacturer as well.

1 July {change}

1 July change {living outside the stacks}

After today’s driving lesson, this will be a much needed change. The color is London Lilac.

As with previous months, I’m using the prompts from The Bethadilly Blog. Overall, the prompts are  easy to follow and are open to interpretation. And, really, this is about having fun, so if you wanna go off prompt, that’s cool too. If you’re on Instagram, I’d love to give you a follow and cheer you on; you can see my every day at #LOTS366Project. If you’d like to see other photos from other participants, just look up #thebethadillychallenge hashtag.

Have a great month,

    LOVE LOVE LOVE that first photo of you. And that shot of your daughter…is amazing.

    • Thank you. I’m trying to practice bright and airy photography {sort of like your avatar}. And I’m discovering all of these pockets of light in my house that I never knew I had. Funny how that happens. The best part of that photo of my daughter is that it’s a mashup of two of our photos. One she took and one I took. She used to be my model when we lived in Missouri. I miss her face so much.

  • That first photo of you is beautiful and I absolutely love your daughter’s style in that pic. Are you wearing a FitBit Blaze? If so, how do you like it?

    • Thank you. My daughter is crazy cool. Like how did I produce a kid that cool kind of cool. LOL

      It is. I love love love my Fitbit Blaze. In fact, I need to do a review of it because it is everything. First of all, I like that I can see my numbers with just a flick of the wrist. I like that it’s intuitive {I don’t have to set it for sleep and all of that}. I get notifications {phone calls, texts, etc} but I can’t respond on the watch {so that’s a negative}. I like that it’s customizable {the watch band and the watch face}. And, most of all, I love that it keeps me motivated.
