Literary Graphic Tee: The Wizard of Oz 12 comments

The Wizard of Oz Graphic Tee with Boyfriend Jeans and Red Mary Janes {living outside the stacks} #livingoutsidethestacks #librarianwardrobe #ootd

Did you see my post called Geek is Chic? In it I share my love of graphic tees. Especially book related graphic tees. Because, well, you know, librarian.

One of my all~time favorite movies is The Wizard of Oz.* I mean, it’s all about shoes. And it has flying monkeys. What more could you want out of life? So when I found this tee on Etsy, I just knew I had to have it.

No wonder the Wicked Witch was hunting Dorothy and her gang!

These shoes are beyond fabulous and, believe it or not, they’re incredibly comfortable. Three and a half inch heels and I was able to wear them all day.

I totally got the dog too. You can tell he’s not happy about it at all. But, you know, that’s just Squeekerz. Seriously, look at that side eye.

Tee: Strange Jam | Jeans: Kmart | Shoes: Zulily

Now, this isn’t an outfit that I’d wear to work {ripped jeans are a big no no}, but change the jeans out for a cute faux leather skirt in black {like the one I wore here} paired with black tights and a blue cardigan, and I’m all over it.

Fridays are casual days on campus, so I thought it’d be fun to get a collection of library related graphic tees to wear. My students and coworkers are totally digging them, especially the snarkier tees.

If you’d like to see how I plan to wear my tees to work, check out my Pinterest board. So be prepared to see an influx of work appropriate graphic tee wear on the blog!

*For music, though, it’s all about The Wiz!

  • Love this fun tee and your ruby red slippers! Those shoes are spectacular. I never get tired of The Wizard of Oz, although I was frightened by it when I was little. Have you seen Wicked? I so love it and go through spells of listening to the soundtrack for days and singing at the top of my lungs. :0

    • Thank you, Jennie. I haven’t seen Wicked but I have a friend who saw it in New York and loooooved it. I know I’d be singing along too.

  • Great book! I’ll need to add that to our audiobook collection – I don’t think we’ve listened to that one yet!

    • Oh, I’ll bet this is a fun one to listen to!
