Hi everyone! I hope you had a great week, I know I did. Our furniture finally arrived, so my workout space is gone but you know the old saying, when one door closes, another opens… The ladies at our church have gotten together and formed Rock Fitness, a combination of aerobics, flexibility training, water aerobics and cardio, to help us all get in shape. So three times a week for about an hour, a group of us (including my 15~year~old daughter) get together and sweat it out. Lemme tell ya, there’s nothing like sweating and laughing with a bunch of friends. So glad our church cares about the physical as well as the spiritual, if you’re ever in Jackson, Missouri, be sure to swing by The Rock International Ministries and say “hello”.
For the past two weeks, my calorie goal was roughly 1200 and I’ll admit, I had a hard time meeting that (those shakes are just so darned filling) but I knew that I had to maintain to keep my body from going into starvation mode. I’ve been trying to eat more veggies and drink more water but I’m not quite hitting my goals. This week I will do better.
I also need to vary my diet a bit. Being that my only “real” meal is dinner, I’m getting kinda tired of baked chicken and, frankly, I think my family is planning a revolt. Or, at least, that’s what it sounded like from the mumblings I’ve been hearing through the vents. So I really need to do something different as far as that’s concerned.
Beginning Weight: 161.8 lbs
Weight Loss: 4.4 lbs
Goal Weight: 135 lbs
This week, my goals are to:
- diversify my dinner menu
- maintain a regular eating schedule
- track my food intake (that is very important)
- increase my strength training
- drink more water
- eat more fruits and vegetables
