Ok, keep walking… there’s nothing to see here… Really, there is nothing to see here. I took a break last week. I mean I did absolutely nothing ~ no workouts, no monitoring what I ate, I didn’t bother with the water, etc. Why? Because I was burnt out. I felt like I had been, ahem, eating and drinking my weight since January and I just didn’t want to think about it anymore.
This morning I woke up with a renewed dedication to meeting my weight loss goals. I went to the gym and worked out on the treadmill ~ 3 miles and over 320 calories burned. I was actually sweating, something I haven’t done in a long while. I’m going to go back to monitoring my food intake, drinking my water and laying off the fast food.
For three weeks I was eating oatmeal for breakfast every day, then I switched to grits, now I’m on to Raisin Bran. I’ve realized the older I get, the more set in my ways I become about food. But I’m trying to make some changes, healthy changes, so I’ve been exploring new food products (a few weeks ago it was Boca Burgers ~ my kids loved ’em). So this week’s new product to try will be AllWhites and Better’n Eggs. I’m particularly interested in trying them in the Mocha Cappuccino Protein Smoothie. Seriously, how delicious does that sound?
