Mamavation Monday

Last week I celebrated the completion of my first 5K (which I walked) and this week, I celebrate the start of C25K.  My goal is to actually run the next 5K that I sign up for (barring any freak health accidents).  I use the Indie Christian podcast created by Chris, the leader and main song writer for the Buried Talents Band.  I find their music to be relaxing as well as motivating.  As with first time I attempted the C25K program, I’m incredibly excited to be starting this program.  And this time I will finish!

My challenges last week were: eating properly, drinking enough water and working out every day.

My goals for this week are:  eating properly, drinking enough water and working out every day.  I plan to go back to the work out schedule that I began a few weeks ago:

Monday ~ C25K
Tuesday ~ Gym
Wednesday ~ C25K
Thursday ~ Gym
Friday ~ C25K
Saturday ~ Rotate between EA Sports Active and Give Me 10 DVD
Sunday ~ Rest day

My healthy commitment for this week is to stave off emotional eating by focusing my attention on something else when I feel like munching on something unhealthy.

When I’m walking around the house, I wear my Earth Footwear slippers for a variety of reasons, the most important being that they are warm and cozy.  The other reasons have to do with vanity and my desire to have a nice butt and toned calves ~ Earth Footwear is made at a 3.7° incline which encourages straighter posture (which engages the core muscles) and the burning of more calories.

Disclosure:  I did not receive any compensation for this post.  This post is my entry into the Mamavation Blogging Carnival that is being sponsored by Earth Footwear.
