I have to admit, I haven’t been as active with the Mamavation Sistas as I was when this process first began. It’s not because I don’t care about you all or that I’m not thinking about you. I am. I have just been swamped with, well, life. As some of you know, I am teaching a history course at the local university and even though it’s only a 7 week course, it’s kicking my butt. Part of the problem is that I’m still adjusting my syllabus because I’m trying to make sure that I cover all of the important information while making the class interesting (these are non-history majors so I do my best to make the class informative, entertaining and educational).
Anyway, I have been trying to make sure that I read your posts and leave a comment. I’ve also been checking in on you on twitter, even though I don’t always offer any helpful tweets. One of my goals for this week is to be there for you all a little bit more and to offer support when needed and share in successes when they occur.
On Monday night we’re going to focus on our successes and thank the ladies who have been most inspirational/supportive. Such a fab idea!
The ladies I’d like to thank are:
They are so positive and inspirational. Even when they’re having off days, they have the ability to turn it around and focus on the positive. I also appreciate the love and support that they offer to each of the ladies in the group.
I think that’s why this week’s Mamavation Monday is particularly important to me. It gives me a chance to say “thank you” and I appreciate you.
Because I’ve been so swamped, it’s been easy for me to just grab stuff and eat without really thinking about what I’m doing. Yikes! However, I have still been exercising so that makes me pretty happy. I’m finally started to see a difference in my body. Yay! In fact, I’ve posted some pictures on flickr so I can keep track of the before and after.
So I guess you could say my challenges for last week have become my goals for this week:
~ reconnect with my sistas
~ continue to drink my water
~ eat more fruits and vegetables
~ stay away from the fast food
