Let’s just get it out of the way, last week I had a total relapse. I slacked off on my exercising, I didn’t eat as well as I should have (I wasn’t eating junk, I just wasn’t eating ~ salad and other veggies when I did eat) and I didn’t drink hardly any water at all. I won’t offer any apologies or excuses because there aren’t any. Seriously, didn’t we all see this coming from the progressively downward spiral of my last few Mamavation Monday posts?
I went to bed last night with a mind focused and determined to do better and get the most out of my workouts this week. I woke up this morning with a mind focused and determined to stay snuggled under my covers. I ended up going to the gym after the kids left for school…. Yay me!
So I guess my challenge for this week will be staying motivated. For help with that, I will be taking a page from @IamSucceeding and taking it 5 lbs at a time. By focusing on the small goals, I will eventually reach my overall goal of losing another 10 lbs without feeling overwhelmed (or disappointed). I’m happy to report that my weight is 157.4 lbs, which means I didn’t gain since last week. Does that count as a success?
I will continue with the Healthy Challenge that’s being sponsored by the Fitness Cheerleader. And I’ve joined the Spring Fling Challenge at Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans as an additional motivator.
So I guess this week’s theme would be: Nothing lost and nothing gained. That will change next week.
And for all my friends who keep asking me about Mamavation and if they should kidnap me before I drink the kool~aid, no, it’s nothing as serious as that. Mamavation is a group of women who have joined together using social networking tools to motivate and support each other in the quest to lose weight and move towards a healthier lifestyle.
