Makeup Free Monday is hosted by The Beauty Bean as an initiative for women to celebrate real beauty. I love makeup almost as much as I love shoes but I also like encouraging women to embrace their natural beauty. Confidence is beautiful, makeup is the enhancer.
If you decide to participate in Makeup Free Monday let me know in the comments.
Monday Mingle is hosted by Jenn at Eighty MPH Mom. If you’d like to participate, simply create a short vlog in which you answer the questions and then hit up the linky. Don’t forget to grab the badge and leave some comment love for your fellow participants. After all, isn’t that what mingling is all about?
This week’s questions are:
1. What are some fun attractions near where you live (farms, amusement parks, etc.)?
I’m still learning the area but the one thing I can say this area has a lot of is parks. There are parks everywhere ~ water parks, play areas, picnic areas, etc. And they’re all within walking distance of each other or just a short drive away from the various developments.
My plan is to check out the conservation park and the Trail of Tears. Haven’t done it yet, but it’s on the list of things to do.
2. Where’s the last place you and your spouse went alone?
In the video, I said the last place the hubs and I visited alone was Ocean City, Maryland last year (two years ago?) but I forgot that we actually came down here by ourselves before we brought the kids. But that wasn’t really a vacation, that was a pre~decision trip to decide whether or not we wanted to move here.
But the hubs and I do try to go to breakfast or dinner together once a month just so we can reconnect. We don’t wanna be that couple who gets divorced as soon as the last kid leaves the house. So we’re trying to make sure that we build and maintain a friendship now.
3. Are you happy the kids are back in school?
I’m so incredibly happy. I wanted to learn how to do a back flip just for that event. Hahahaha Seriously, I loved spending the summer with my kids. We did a lot this year ~ traveled from Pennsylvania to Mississippi, they flew on a plane for the first time, the kids and I drove from Mississippi to Missouri together, etc. I think this is a summer they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.
Next week’s questions are:
I’ll post them as soon as I find out what they are…
