November in Pictures {living outside the stacks}

November was a difficult month for our family. My husband’s ex~wife {and our dear friend} passed away from cancer. I can’t say she lost her battle, because we know that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” {2 Corinthians 5:8}. I’m just grateful that she left behind a wonderful legacy in our daughter and our grandchildren.

Morning Coffee {living outside the stacks}

A friend of mine has been trying to convince me that I need to take my coffee photos and put them into a book of some sort. I have to admit, I do find the idea rather intriguing. Or maybe I can just sell them as postcards or something? I don’ know, what do you think?

As you can see, other than my morning coffee pictures, I didn’t really use my camera that often. I was, like most of my family, wrapped up in my own grief and disbelief. As I told The Hubs, even though we know that Vanessa was saved and that she’s gone home to be with the Lord, that doesn’t make our grief at her loss any less, it just makes it different. I know our daughter will miss hearing her mom’s voice and our grandchildren will miss running into her arms, but someday… If we continue to walk in His light, we will see each other again.

How was your month? What was the highlight? Were there any celebrations? Disappointments?

Always counting my blessings,

Daenel T {Living Outside the Stacks}
