Polka Dot Blouse Library Book Dress Burgundy Tights and Navy Shoes {living outside the stacks}

Hey, y’all, hey! I hope you have plans for a relaxing weekend. Right now, we don’t have anything planned. We’re just gonna sit around the house and relax. I should probably clean up, but that ain’t gonna happen…

I’m usually not a kitschy dresser, but I do fancy library themed clothing {like this dress and this tee – check out the picture if for no other reason than a shot of my shady dog}.

I wore this outfit a few months ago to work. I had to give a presentation for a Lunch and Learn Series that offered by our college for members of the community. I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy those presentations. Most of the participants are senior citizens and, let me tell you, they are a hoot. It’s a life skills course with a focus on developing computer skills, financial literacy, and whatever else they’d like to learn {I love when they offer suggestions}.

While I don’t necessarily care for the fabric of the blouse with the dress material, I do love the prints together. I mean, the dress is already a fun print to begin with – books, glasses, and pipes. It reminds me of an old English library. And who doesn’t like polka dots? Because I had so much going on with the prints, I decided to keep the jewelry simple: faux pearl earrings.

Last time I wore this dress, I wore it with a cardigan, but I think it could be topped with a chunky sweater in Fall/Winter to make it look more skirt like. What do you think?

We’d really love to have you join us. It really is a fun and easy linkup, but, most importantly, it makes you look at your closet differently.
