This year I’m participating in three different photography challenges. I know, I know. I do this every year and by the middle of February I tap out. Well, this year is different. These are 52 week projects, so I’m only obligated to take 3 photos a week instead of 1 photo a day. You see, the problem with 1 photo a day is there’s a lot of pressure. And that pressure can be overwhelming, especially when you want to make sure that the photos you post are decent.

With these projects, I’m easing the pressure and focusing less on perfection and more on picking up my camera {last year, I went months without shooting anything} and being creative. I also want to do a better of job of documenting my life. Looking back, that’s probably one of my biggest regrets: I didn’t take enough pictures of my kids when they were little and I didn’t take enough pictures of The Hubs and me through the years. I want to change that…

So here they are: pictures from the challenges and the memories attached…

Your Style

Week 3 Your Style {living outside the stacks}

This is me. Girly with a bit of edge. I think this is reflected in my photography style… I see things through black rimmed rose tinted glasses. I love deeply and protect fiercely. I give respect and I demand respect. I have a quirky sense of humor but don’t often show it.

Rule of Thirds

Squeekerz {living outside the stacks} week 3 Rule of Thirds

This is Squeekerz. He has owned us for nearly 13 years. He’s weird, but we love him.

Motion

Week 3 Motion {living outside the stacks}

The Hubs whisked me off for a surprise trip to Savannah, GA. I captured this guy while walking around the park. I should add that I ran quickly afterwards because I’m terribly afraid of birds.

What are you doing this year to move out of your comfort zone? How can I cheer you on?

Happy Snapping,

Daenel T {Living Outside the Stacks}
