Every year, I like to do one thing that scares challenges me. And, for the past few years, it seems that those challenges have involved running {read about my first race here and joining Run for God here}. So, it seems only right that this year, the challenge involves yet another run. This time, instead of running for time, I’ll be running for distance. 1000 miles to be exact.

Run 1000 Mile Challenge {Living Outside the Stacks} #1000MileChallenge #SweatPink #TeamLOTSRuns

The goal is to run, walk, or hike 1000 miles between 20 March and 21 December 2015. That means I’ll be getting in 3.62 miles every. single. day. On days when I can’t go outside, I’ll be hitting up the trusty treadmill.

I’m excited about this challenge for a variety of reasons:

  1. it benefits a great cause
  2. it gets me back on the road to fitness.

I invite you to join me for the 1000 Mile Challenge, all you have to do is click the picture below to register. Fees are $9 for silver membership and $29 for gold membership, with 50% of the net proceeds from every registration going to Make-A-Wish Northeastern California, Northern Nevada. You know you wanna…
