Share Your Good News {Living Outside the Stacks}

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you know that I like to do a little something called “Fist Bump Friday”, where I encourage my friends to share something that has made them happy during the week. Sometimes we get so bogged down with life and the crazy that comes with it that we forget to recognize the good things. So I thought it’d be fun if we all shared and celebrated together.

So please, share your good news in the comments below. Remember, it doesn’t have to be big or earth shattering. If it’s important to you, it’s important to me.

This week, I’m happy to be doing something good for the environment courtesy of Katie from Creole Wisdom. If you haven’t taken the time to check out her blog, you really should… Her photography is beautiful and her words are inspirational. And girlfriend can decorate a room.

Anyway, when we moved from Pennsylvania to Missouri, my biggest fear my only fear was that we’d give up the beautiful scenery. You can see some of my pictures of where we used to live by clicking here and here. Boy, was I surprised when I we experienced our first Autumn in the Show Me state. This place is gorgeous! Check out my pictures from the Conservation Center by clicking here and from the Mississippi River by clicking here. Seriously, how could I not want to do something to help others experience God’s handiwork?

To that end, I’m participating in the Make a Green Gesture initiative, which protects the environment by planting trees. Would you like to join in? It’s free, just click the button on my sidebar.

What made you happy this week?
