Before I say anything else, I want to say thank you to the hubs for being my guinea pig. He was such a good sport throughout the whole teeth whitening process. Honestly, I was looking forward to the silence. Thought I’d settle in with a magazine for a bit. Not so. Via text and numerous grunts, the hubs told me which pictures to take, how he felt through the process, etc. So this was truly a team effort.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to review SmileBrilliant, a professional teeth whitening kit that comes with an LED light. We chose to have the hubs try the product out for 2 reasons: 1. he was game and 2. easier for me to photograph him in the various stages of whitening.
Step 1
We read the instructions but they didn’t say whether the hubs should brush his teeth before we started. We thought it made sense to begin with clean teeth, so he brushed.
Step 2
Get comfortable because you’re going to have the tray in your mouth for 20 to 45 minutes with the LED light and an additional 1 to 2 hours without the light {if you choose}.

Wait some more…
Step 4
You’re finished. We didn’t notice any real change in the hubs’s teeth, so there are no pictures. In the interest of full disclosure, the hubs was a smoker for about twenty years. He quit about ten years ago. He’s also a coffee drinker, so we weren’t expecting any dramatic changes right away. The website says they don’t guarantee results in an hour but you can expect to see results in about 30 days. We’re going to keep up the process and see what happens. I hope you’ll come back for the before and after pictures!

- Inexpensive, $39.95
- Not messy
CONS:
- The instructions aren’t very clear
- Requires a lot of time
- May cause your teeth to feel sensitive
