I live in the Midwest, so Spring means heavy winds, tornado sirens, lots of rain, and pretty dead things, with the occasional pretty living thing.

What’s Spring like in your neighborhood?

  • Great shots, my allergies say spring but the weather is still catching up. Our Cherry Blossoms are almost in bloom but that much else has popped out yet. #ourproject52

    • My husband has allergies too. I feel so bad for him and all allergy sufferers. This is my favorite season. Hands down.

  • My spring is a whole lot like your spring. We won’t have lots of traditional spring pretty things until closer to the end of April.

    • We’ve now hit rainy season. *sigh* I keep trying to convince myself that we need this for all of the pretty green stuff.

Spring is late because winters are long here. There isn’t anything blooming in these parts yet and won’t until the beginning of May, maybe the end of April this year, because we’ve had a milder winter than usual. Danger of frost isn’t until after Memorial Day, so unless you’re an avid gardener and committed to watching the weather reports EVERY night(can you tell I am not?), it’s best not to plant anything until Memorial Day week-end. Tornadoes aren’t much of a threat until summer.

    • I only watch the weather so I know what to wear. LOL But I’m thinking I may try my hand at planting an herb garden when I get to Georgia.
