Welcome to another week of Style Imitating Art, where we draw our style inspiration from works of art. Style Imitating Art {aka SIA} is hosted by Jen {Librarian for Life and Style}, Salazar {14 Shades of Grey}, and me. Every other Monday, one of us curates an art piece to use as style inspiration for the following week {host outfits are posted on the following Monday, with participant outfits shared on the curator’s blog on Wednesday}.

Salazar While researching the image, she learned that Jackson Pollack’s “…drip paintings are so pleasing to look at because they contain fractal patterns similar to those in nature, which I found fascinating (scientists even use fractal analysis to authenticate some Pollockesque paintings recently found – they turned out to be fake ones).”

MY LOOK
Full disclosure: I’ve shown this look on the blog before. I had plans to put together an original look but life happened. And, to be honest, I don’t think I could’ve done a better job of replicating the colors, textures, and patterns in Pollack’s painting if I had tried. I mean, look at the patterned tights! Just perfect, don’t you think?
