ABOUT STYLE IMITATING ART
Welcome to Style Imitating Art. Style Imitating Art is hosted by Salazar {14 Shades of Grey}, Terri {Meadow Tree Style}, and me. Style Imitating Art challenges us to draw style inspiration from pieces of art. Every other Monday one of us selects an inspiration image and we each post the image on our blogs. The following Monday we share our art inspired outfits. Participants submit their art inspired outfits with the curator by 10 PM Tuesday and, that Wednesday, the curator shares all of the submissions on her blog.

INSPIRATION ART WORK
Heather, Sweet Peas and Butterfly. Anonymous. 19th Century watercolor.
I chose this piece because I adore butterflies. I even have a butterfly tattoo… But I haven’t seen any lately. I wonder if it’s the weather — we’ve had rain for weeks, with a only a few breaks in between. Or if it’s something else? I mean, it could be the wrong season too?

I officially dub Leslie the Queen of Kimonos! Isn’t this stunning? I love the softness paired with the olive pants. Everything is so perfect for this week’s challenge.
Reni {reni’s odds and sods}
Reni’s outfit is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are so perfect… And look at that necklace! Just stunning.
Shelbee {shelbee on the edge}
Shelbee totally nailed it with her outfit. Even though her colors are bold, tonally, everything is on point. I’m also digging that circular bag — so sweet.
Suzy {the grey brunette}
I’ve always said that Suzy is my style sister. That scarf turned halter is so very funky and sexy and boho and, gosh, I just love it.
