Purple Flower {Shoot. Edit. Submit.}

While walking through the woods at the Conservation Center, I saw this sweet little purple flower poking its head through the dead leaves and grass. I almost overlooked it because the flower was so tiny and delicate, just barely visible.

As I studied the flower, I wondered how many others had passed it by? How many people had missed the beauty of this little spot of purple amid all the brown? When was the last time I stopped to thank God for all of the blessings in my life ~ both big and small? 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says that we’re to give thanks for everything. So today, I’m giving thanks for all the things that I’ve taken for granted, especially those little purple moments that got lost in the brown.
