Thankful for the Purple Moments {Shoot. Edit. Submit.}

Purple Flower {Shoot. Edit. Submit.}

Edited using the “Barn Wall” texture from CoffeeShop Barn Textures

While walking through the woods at the Conservation Center, I saw this sweet little purple flower poking its head through the dead leaves and grass. I almost overlooked it because the flower was so tiny and delicate, just barely visible.

As I studied the flower, I wondered how many others had passed it by? How many people had missed the beauty of this little spot of purple amid all the brown? When was the last time I stopped to thank God for all of the blessings in my life ~ both big and small? 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says that we’re to give thanks for everything. So today, I’m giving thanks for all the things that I’ve taken for granted, especially those little purple moments that got lost in the brown.

I’m linking up with Misty and Kim at Through a Photographer’s Eyes for Shoot. Edit. Submit. If you’d like to join in, the “rules” are simple:

  1. The photo must be taken this week {Saturday~Friday}
  2. Only one entry per person
  3. Must have the “Shoot. Edit. Submit.” button or text link to back to this week’s post to qualify
  4. Link only to the blog post and not your main blog URL

And make sure you visit some of the other participants and leave some  comment love.

    So well said. I love that you saw this flower & took a moment to really reflect on it & everything else. I know that not many people do that very often. Think of what this world would be like if they did.

    What a beautiful story – and I am very thankful God made purple!!
    Bless you 🙂

    • Thank you, Pia. It’s such a sweet reminder to give thanks for the little as well as the big things in life. Blessings to you as well.
