Hey, y’all. I hope you’re having a great week so far. The Hubs and I are trying to plan our vacations for the rest of the year. We haven’t been able to take the RV out in awhile, so we’re getting a bit of cabin fever. Have you ever been out in an RV? Honestly, I didn’t think I’d like it, but I loooove it. I’m not a good sleeper, but when we go out in the camper, I easily get between 10 and 12 hours of sleep. But it’s not just about the sleep, it’s about the exploring too. Seriously, if you get the chance to try it, do it. You’ll thank me later.
I need to get real here. I’ve put on quite a bit of weight, which has necessitated a bit of shopping. Thank you, JC Penney, for having pretty clothes in larger sizes. When I saw this top, I wasn’t sure about it because, well, I’m pretty busty. But, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this top on and it laid flat on my chest instead of dipping down to expose the cleavage.
Because of the keyhole and the pretty lace detail around the shoulders, I opted not to wear a necklace, but this can easily be paired with a long pendant style necklace for a dressier look.
The skinny pants are textured and have a wide waistband which is both supportive and flattering. However, I should have bought these a size smaller. They’re pull on legging style skinny pants and I need the waistband to fit a bit snugger. But I do like the texture and the color. They’re black but not black black, if that makes sense.
While I could’ve worn heels with these, I chose to wear leopard flats, because I wasn’t sure what I’d be doing at work today. When you work in a library, your day can go from sitting behind a desk to climbing across the floor in a matter of minutes.
I’m also thinking the blouse would look super cute cinched in with a belt or under a blazer. I’m gonna have to see what I can find…

For reference, I’m 5’5″ and I wear an XL top and size 12 bottom. This top is an XL and the pants are a size 14.
