So, this is it. The first photo for my Project 52: 2019 Edition. If you’d like to see the prompts that I’m using, read this post. You’ll also see some of my plans for 2019. I didn’t set a lot of goals, just a few to help me grow spiritually and creatively.
Anyway, as promised, I’m showing the Straight Out of Camera {SOOC} image too, so you can see what I started with and how it ended.
SOOC
Nikon D7500 | 35mm | f/2.2 | 1/2 | ISO 400
Taken in my dining room at 7:22 pm. My light came from the chandelier in the breakfast nook to my right. I prefer natural light, but it’s winter and I plan to embrace what’s available.
EDITED
Edited in Lightroom using the Pastel Preset from Clickin’ Moms. Watermark added in PicMonkey.
My Project 52 goal is to be more intentional with my photo making. I want to streeeetch my brain and see what I can do. I also want to get out of my comfort zone {aka my house} and start shooting creatively. I think it’ll help with my style photos.
I also want to improve my editing skills. I try to capture my images in camera the way I want them, but editing images is fun and it adds a little something something to the photo. There’s also a lot of room for creativity when editing.
If you’re on Instagram, give me a yell and let me know you’re there.
Do you have any photography goals for 2019? I’d love to read them and encourage you along the way.
Happy Snapping,
