Week 6: Street

Nikon D3100 | 55mm | f/5.6 | 1/125 | ISO 220

2018 saw the introduction of a new 52 week photography project, which has me totally excited. This year I want to really step out creatively and learn/practice new skills. I’d also really like to do more than just make photos of my morning coffee, although I do enjoy that. Anyway, I thought I’d let these posts do a sort of double duty, if you will. I’ll share my weekly photo and a few highlights from the week.

This week I decided to share some things that I’m loving this week:

  • Were you a fan of Sister, Sister back in the day? Well, the twins are all grown up and have families of their own now. I knoooow… Anyway, Tia has a cute channel on Facebook called Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix where she shares all sorts of fun tips on everything from makeup to food to fitness.
  • I was trying to live the vegan life but The Hubs wouldn’t let me be great, so I had to make some adjustments. Instead of giving up meat completely, I’ve decided to add some new stuff to our diet. Instead of making our usual pasta, I’ve been making quinoa sides from a company called Path of Life from Publix. Right now, my favorite flavor is the quinoa and kale with garlic, olive oil, and sea salt. I make the whole package with our meals, which gives me enough to make a lunch bowl for the next day.
  • I have recently discovered the power of makeup removal towels. For yeeeeears, when I bothered to take my makeup off, I used a washcloth and scrubbed. As I’ve started *ahem* aging, I’ve started to realize the importance of taking better care of my skin. I started using these makeup removal towels by P&G while we were on vacation and I love love love them. And I’m not just saying that because The Hubs works for P&G either {this isn’t even his product line}. My makeup comes off easily and I’ve noticed less breakouts because I’m taking better care of my face.

Have you tried anything recently that you’re loving?

Have a good week,

Daenel T {Living Outside the Stacks}
